Flanges
We provide a wide range of flanges for industrial purposes.
Product Range
Flanges are the second most used joining method after the welding. Flanges are used when joints need dismantling. It provides flexibility for maintenance. Flange connects the pipe with various equipment and valves. Breakup flanges are added in the pipeline system if regular maintenance is required during plant operation. A flanged joint is composed of three separate and independent although interrelated components; the flanges, the gaskets, and the bolting; which are assembled by yet another influence, the fitter. Special controls are required in the selection and application of all these elements to attain a joint, which has acceptable leak tightness.
It additionally gives simple access to cleaning, examination or adjustment. Flanges are normally welded or screwed. Flanged joints are made by bolting together two flanges with a gasket between them to give a seal. A flange is a forged or thrown ring of steel designed to interface sections of pipe or join pipe to a pressure weight Vessel, pump or whatever other fundamental flanges get together.
Pipe flanges are manufactured in all the different materials like stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, brass, bronze, plastic etc. but the most used material is forged carbon steel and has machined surfaces. In addition, flanges, like fittings and pipes, for specific purposes sometimes internally equipped with layers of materials of a completely different quality as the flanges themselves, which are “lined flanges”.
The material of a flange is basically set during the choice of the pipe, in most cases, a flange is of the same material as the pipe. The fundamental types of flanges are; Weld Neck, Slip-On, Socket weld, Blind & Screwed in Stainless steel (A182), Carbon steel (A105), Duplex & Super Duplex up to 48″ in Alloys Monel, Copper Nickel, Bronze etc, Class 150 – 2500. The most commonly used flanges according to ASME B16.5 are Welding Neck, Slip-On, Socket Weld, Lap Joint, Threaded and Blind flange etc.
Flanges also provide easy access for cleaning, inspecting, and modification of pipes. They are usually welded or screwed. The Flanged joints are made by bolting together the two flanges with a gasket between them to provide a seal. The flanges are mainly joined to each other by darting and joined to the piping framework by welding or threading. The pipe flanges are mostly manufactured in all the different materials like stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, brass, bronze, and plastic etc.
Stainless steel flanges are quite advantageous. The flanges that are made up of stainless steel are very resistant to corrosion. The material is very flexible as well as versatile. Stainless steel flanges are very durable as well as strong hence if you want something that’s long lasting as well as have low maintenance cost then your first option should definitely be stainless steel especially if you are using it for the constructional purpose. When it comes to pipes, we all know that they are used to transfer corrosive material hence it is highly recommended that you use a stainless steel for pipes as they will last longer due to the corrosion.
We at Global International distributes stainless steel flanges of different shapes conform to the metal grade 304L,316L,321,347/ WPB A105 and pressure rating standard PN16,PN10, PN20.Corrosion to be in accordance with BS4504 NACE, NACE MR0175/ CS A-105N, ASTM A182 standard accordingly.
